Pink machine, powerful message: Normet supports Women in Mining & Resources Mongolia

Women in Mining & Resources Mongolia (WMRM) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation established in 2016 that works to support, promote, and advance women’s participation in Mongolia’s mining and resources sector. WMRM has grown to over 1,000 members from across the mining industry and offers mentorship programs, educational events, networking opportunities, and forums. Its mission is to build an inclusive and harmonious community where women and men work together, enabling women to pursue excellence and leadership in mining.

In support of WMRM’s mission, Normet has painted one of its machines - Utimec LF 1000 Water going to Oyu Tolgoi - pink, symbolizing solidarity with women in the mining sector and raising awareness about gender diversity and inclusion in Mongolia’s mining and resources industry.
