Normet’s new Spraymec 2100 brings modern safety and reliability to essential concrete spraying

Normet announces the launch of the Spraymec 2100, a new self‑propelled concrete sprayer designed to meet today’s safety, emission, and usability requirements in small and mid‑size mine envelopes. The Spraymec 2100 strengthens Normet’s sprayed concrete equipment portfolio by providing a modern, globally applicable essential solution for underground projects where simplicity, reliability, and cost efficiency are key.

Spraymec 2100 is designed as a reliable and easy‑to‑use concrete sprayer and is available with two straight‑type spray boom options, offering a maximum vertical reach of up to 9 meters or up to 10.5 meters. The machine can be equipped with a Normet concrete spraying pump with a theoretical output of up to 20 m³/h or up to 27 m³/h, depending on configuration. An integrated closed‑loop control system continuously monitors and adjusts concrete pump output and accelerator dosing, supporting consistent spraying quality while keeping the machine architecture simple and robust.

Focused on operator safety, usability and manoeuvrability

Operator safety and ease of use have been key focus areas in the development of the Spraymec 2100. The machine is fitted with a FOPS/ROPS‑approved cabin offering good visibility and operator comfort, with optional heating and air conditioning. For efficient manoeuvrability in confined underground conditions, the carrier features 4‑wheel drive and 4‑wheel steering, including crab steering, enabling easy repositioning even in challenging ground conditions.

“The Spraymec 2100 delivers the essential capabilities needed for high‑quality concrete spraying, with a strong focus on reliability, usability and cost efficiency” says Anssi Mykkänen, Vice President, Concrete Spraying at Normet. “It brings modern safety standards, proven spraying performance and reliable operation to essential concrete spraying applications.”

Spraymec 2100 is particularly well suited for cost‑sensitive markets and projects where ease of maintenance, predictable operation and a modest capital investment are critical. At the same time, it provides customers with a natural upgrade path within Normet’s broader sprayed concrete offering as operational requirements evolve.

More than equipment: comprehensive support for sprayed concrete operations

The Spraymec 2100 underlines Normet’s continued commitment to developing practical, customer‑driven solutions that support safe, efficient and high‑quality sprayed concrete operations across a wide range of mining applications.

Beyond the equipment itself, Spraymec 2100 is supported by Normet’s global services and spraying related construction chemicals offering. Normet’s services help customers maintain reliable operation and high machine availability through training, commissioning, maintenance support, spare parts, and process and technical expertise, supporting high and predictable performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Spraymec 2100 enables controlled, repeatable spraying performance and consistent concrete quality under varying site conditions. Together, the equipment, services and sprayed concrete chemicals support safer operations, reduced operational risk and stable spraying outcomes in cost‑sensitive mining operations.
